We found this tour from reviews on our resort's Facebook fan page. I reached out to Marc at Tours Grenada with questions at 10 pm PST. Marc was responding at 2am Grenada time.
After arriving at the resort, I learned that it would cost more for a round trip taxi trip to Grand Arnse beach. I reached out to Marc again, and arranged their transportation for less a few hours before pick up.
Traffic delayed our transport arrival to our resort. It also delayed our arrival to the boat. Because of the delay, Marc kept us out on the water to make up for the later start time.
We had a great time on the boat. Marc and his crew provided great service, and all were friendly and more than willing to share about the areas we were seeing. The food was terrific, as well as the rum punch.
I highly recommend the Sunset and Champagne Cruise on the Corsair through Tours Grenada.
My husband said this was the hi-light of this trip.
We were picked up by Norland as we booked hotel pickup on their website. There was a lot of traffic so we got there later than we hoped (nobody’s fault, it happens) but we stayed out on the boat just as long as if we were on time and got to see all the lights at night. You are taken by a smaller boat to the bigger sail boat and climb up a ladder. This is difficult for people who are mobility challenged, but not impossible and they did help someone who needed it and it was clear they had done it before. We chatted with the owner Marc for a long time. There were 4 other couples on the boat with us and there was plenty of room and never felt crowded. There are 4 dogs on the boat, which was one of the best parts of it. The beer and champagne were cold and the rum punch was strong. The fish cakes and snacks provided were also good. If you get seasick you need to take a Dramamine (or anti nausea of choice). I was fine on the actual boat but felt like I was still on the water for at least the rest of the night. This is a me problem but if it something you also experience, please plan for it.
I highly recommend!
This was an excellent tour with a very friendly host. The actual trip and views were very enjoyable especially seeing the sun set. Added to the occasion was a great atmosphere with about 20 guests. Plenty of drink and food available all included. Only drawback for me was getting onto the Schooner. We were invited onto a jetty and then had to drop down into a motorised dinghy. Once in we then sped to the Schooner and then had to step up on a ladder into boat. That was bad enough but on the return we had to do it in the dark. I was able to do it just but older guests would struggle. Others felt the same. I have however given it a top score due to Marcus
If I could give them 50 stars I would.
First, I made a mistake in booking, and they were so nice and accommodating in changing the tour - we upgraded to a private snuba experience to see the underwater sculpture garden (which by the way is otherworldly and beyond beautiful - a once in a lifetime experience).
Our guides, Derek and Marcus (I hope I got your names right - I’m terrible with names but I try real hard!) were experienced, knowledgeable and incredibly nice and patient.
As an added bonus, the lunch they brought was beyond delicious.
Cannot recommend them highly enough! Hope to be back in the near future and will absolutely take a tour with them again.
Thank you so much!
Had great time on the schooner boat last night! The staff was very helpful on the dingy. Food was yum! Dogs were fun! - Highly recommend this great sunset cruise! Staff very helpful on and off dingy and boat. Yummy food. Love the dogs to. This was my first time on a Schooner and I loved it! I’ll be back! Thank you all for a wonderful evening of conversation and outstanding views.
