Our tour will take you to the northern town of the island, the fishing village, Gouyave, where on a friday night two streets are closed off and stalls open up selling fish and other seafood prepared in many different ways. Savor the fresh catch while enjoying the sounds of the local musicians or DJs!
Owing its name to the abundant number of Guava trees that grow here, Gouyave is the pride of Grenada as more fish is caught here than anywhere else on the island. On your Friday visit here you will have the chance to sample some of the mouthwatering treats prepared with the freshest of the fish caught for the day. Grilled, fried, steamed or cooked they all result in the most finger-licking good delights.
This place is absolutely delightful in every way, yes it is noisy, it's action-packed, and it's all fun and all dancing with some unique characters offering impromptu comedy to entertain everyone. This is a place where you can really unwind and have a good time as you mingle with the locals. This town with its 9000 inhabitants prides itself on being the "entertainment capital" of the sensual Spice Island and you'll witness it through this in this folkloric Caribbean party.
The streets are closed off from traffic and lined with barbecue stalls and small kiosks selling tempting delights that are sure to get your taste buds screaming for more. With all the variety of dishes served here you'll be more than spoiled with choice, you can try the ever-popular fish cakes, the succulent shrimp, the barbecued snapper, the jerked marlin or the fried jacks. You won't be able to find such a wide collection of fresh and tasty Grenadian seafood anywhere else and you surely won't be disappointed.

As a medical student in Grenada, I am often so busy that I don't have nearly as much time to get out and enjoy the beautiful island as much as I wish I could! An afternoon aboard Corsair feels like a whole vacation in just one afternoon. You get the chance to appreciate the beauty of the coastline, see the shore from many angles, and enjoy the incredible clear blue seas that surround Grenada. Corsair is a beautiful boat, complete with AMAING food, cooler of beer and assorted beverages, an open bar, and a cool rope swing! Marc and Yvonne are wonderful hosts, very experienced and smooth sailers. My most recent trip was the biggest swells I have seen around the island, and high wind conditions, but they made it feel smooth and the same as it felt last time I had sailed with them on a flat day. My family, friends and I all loved our time with them! …
Marc and Eyonne were amazing! There aim was to please their guests and they succeeded- and surpassed our expectations! We were a party of 4 adults and 3 youngsters under age 11. Marc customized our time according to what WE wanted to do. So my husband got to do TWO Scuba dives. The rest us had plenty of snorkel time. Marc rigged up a “trapeze” of sorts that the kids (of ALL ages:) could swing out on and then drop into the water. And when we were all tired out from the day of play, Eyonne prepared us WONDERFUL food! The Corsair sailing excursion is the real deal! In addition to their great hospitality, the crew is professional and reliable! We will be talking about this memory with our kids and grandkids for years to come! …
Eighteen of us went on an all day sail on Corsair. We had a fabulous day!!! Mark, Yvonne (Owner/Operators), and Mate, took great care of us. Wonderful food prepared onboard, including barbecued fish and chicken. We snorkeled two coves, and relaxed abound this lovely sailing vessel. Best day of my 3 weeks in Grenada! Do it!!! …
This excursion deserves to be the #1 experience and way to spend your day in Grenada.... on Google and "Trip Advisor"! After living on the island for two years, it does not matter if you are a local or on vacation, this is the best way to spend your day in Grenada. The friendliest hosts, with the most beautiful views above & below the water, with the best tasting (HomeMade!) food and mixed drinks! If I could go back to Grenada for 1 day. This is how I would spend it. I hope many people have the opportunity to enjoy this amazing trip like I did. …
